Biography
SAG-AFTRA actor and award-winning recording artist Alexander James Rodriguez was born on June 12, 2007, in Marbella, Spain. During his early years in Europe, he was featured in various magazine print campaigns; however, it wasn’t until his permanent move to the United States in 2011 that his passion for the performing arts was truly cemented.
Since living in Los Angeles, Alexander has appeared in several prominent feature-length films and TV commercials. During lock down in 2020, 12-year-old Alexander headed to the recording studio to create three pop records. His debut single ‘My Crew’ quickly earned him the Rising Star Award at the 2021 Hollywood Music in Media Awards, giving him high profile recognition alongside some of the music industry’s biggest names.
Since then, Alexander has unleashed a string of single amassing millions of streams and views making him one of the most exciting young voices shaping today’s global pop scene. A bilingual artist fluent in English and Spanish, Alexander blends infectious melodies with cross-cultural appeal.
In 2024 he independently released his self-produced album “Call Me Alexander” on vinyl, CD and digital, cementing his dynamic force in modern pop. That same year, Alexander was invited by the Recording Academy to join as a GRAMMY® Voting Member. His music has gone on to be “in consideration” for both GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® Awards, a testament to his growing impact and artistry.
Currently Alexander is attending the University of Miami Frost School of Music where he is working towards a BM in Music Industry with two minors: Business Law and American Songwriting. He is continuously writing new music and is enjoying modernizing the 70’s disco era.

Alexander James Rodriguez Received the ‘Rising Star Award’ at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards 2021
In his first year of releasing music, Alexander joined a prominent list of HMMA award winners for the new hybrid awards show including two-time Grammy winner and Oscar nominee Kenny Loggins who received the HMMA Career Achievement honor presented by legendary songwriter and producer David Foster.
Alexander, who first launched his music career during the 2020 Los Angeles-lockdown received the Rising Star Award (Male) for his debut single release My Crew at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) held on Jan. 27, 2021.
Other winners of the star-studded night included Diane Warren, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Jon Batiste, James Newton Howard, Ludwig Gorannson, Emile Mosseri and Ben Wallfish.
