Alexander James Rodriguez kicked off the Halloween season this weekend in Hollywood with at the Spooky Season Launch Party and Halloween Candy Collection Drive for A Place Called Home, a nonprofit organization that provides a safe haven and support for gang-affected youth and their families in South Central Los Angeles.
The 17-year-old Malaga-born pop singer opened the event with a thrilling live performance of several of his original songs from his recent debut album, “Call Me Alexander,” that he released across digital platforms and on Vinyl and CD.
Alexander, who was just invited to join the Recording Academy class of 2024 as a Voting Member, claimed the coveted ‘Rising Star Award’ at the prestigious 2021 Hollywood Music in Media Awards, sharing the spotlight with industry titans like Diane Warren and Justin Timberlake.
Since then, he has unleashed a string of chart-topping English singles, accumulating millions of views. Alexander has also entered the Latin market chat with his single ‘Verano Para Siempre’ which, this year, was nominated for Best Latin Pop/Rock Single at the 2024 Hollywood Independent Music Awards (HIMA).
Alexander’s cross-over to cement his Latin roots is a reminder of Latina powerhouse Becky G, who began her career singing in English, but at 19-years-old made the switch and released her debut all Spanish single ‘Sola’. Becky G has gone on to be an award-winning Latin mega star.
Other performers that hit the Spooky event stage in Hollywood were girl pop group Secrets of Sound, solo artists Reese Warren, Mason McNulty, Ysabella Loyola, Izabella Diaz with Rex James and R’n’B girl group the 101 Girls.
Guests of the jam-packed party, which was sponsored by: Key Elements PR, KEMG Entertainment, EMR Media and Republic Records (Kids and Family Division), enjoyed music by a live DJ, dancing, photo booth, spooky mocktails, themed sweets, popcorn bar, acai bowls, hot dogs, fun bites and so much more.
